Description
The above picture shows the two main parts of a standard aluminium DSC Pan, these are a base and a lid. The lid is crimped on top of the sample but does NOT hermetically seal. The standard crimper press (0219-0048) is used.
The following standard pans are currently available
PerkinElmer Part Number | Material | Temperature range |
0219-0041 | Aluminium | -170 to 600°C |
0319-0026 | Copper | -170 to 730°C |
0219-0042 | Gold | -170 to 730°C |
N519-0180 | Alumina | -170 to 730°C |
0319-0024 | Platinum | -170 to 730°C |
0319-0025 | Graphite | -170 to 730°C |
Applications:
Aluminum sample pans are used with most routine applications including nonvolatile solid samples such as plastics and polymers. They are used routinely for applications such as polymer melting, crystallization, glass transitions of polymers, pharmaceuticals, liquid crystals, thermoplastics, and thermosets.
Alumina, gold, platinum and graphite sample pans are normally used for high temperature studies and except for gold cannot be crimped.
These pans cannot be used with the autosampler system.
